I had one of my occasional meat shopping trips this week. You see, I try to only stock up on meat when it’s on sale – and then I buy enough to last me to the next sale.
I shopped at Meijer this week, and this is what I bought.
Fresh Ground Agnus Beef was on sale for $1.87 a pound. Beef prices have really increased this year, so I was thrilled to see a good deal at last. I bought 12 pounds at this price. As soon as I came home, I wrapped it in 1-pound packages and put it in the freezer.
Eckrich Smoked Sausages were on sale for $1.67 and I had three coupons for $0.55/1 that I used. I added these to my freezer for future grilling.
Obviously, my biggest purchase was stocking up on Country Time lemonade. The canisters were on sale for $1 and I had lots of coupons for $1/2. At $0.50 a canister, I stocked up for family reunion time!
The rest of my items were also on sale and I had coupons, too!
When all was said and done, I spent $54.28. Over half of this was spent on meat.
Earlier this week, I stopped by Walmart to use my three Boston coupons before they expired. I don’t have a picture but I spent $24.29 on three bottles of Boston contact solution.
This brings my shopping total for the week to $78.57. It brings my total for the month of May to $158.47. Since I’m just barely under budget, I guess this was my last shopping trip of the month!
I hope you were able to find some good meat bargains, this week, too!
