Ranch Oyster Crackers

Looking for an easy snack recipe? Try making these tasty ranch oyster crackers. With only 5 ingredients, it’s an easy recipe your family will love!

Easy recipes are my favorite. Easy recipes with 5 ingredients or less are really my favorites. This ranch oyster cracker recipe is as easy as they come. My mom used to make these at Christmas time for us to snack on. I don’t know why we only made them around the holidays because they are a tasty snack that can be enjoyed all year long!

We got this recipe from a church member friend years ago in Michigan. I know there are similar recipes floating around but Vera’s version remains my favorite to this day.

These ranch oyster crackers take a basic cracker and quickly turn it into something special. The ranch mix plus the addition of a bit of dill in the seasoning make for a zesty cracker. It’s hard to eat just one of these!

Ingredients:

24 oz (12 cups) oyster crackers
1 package dry ranch mix
1 tablespoon garlic
1 tablespoon dill weed
1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil

Directions:

Mix ranch mix, garlic, dill weed and oil in a small bowl. Empty oyster crackers into a large bowl. Pour seasoning mixture over oyster crackers and stir until crackers are coated. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy!

Additional Notes:

Another easy way to make this recipe is to pour the plain oyster crackers into a large paper bag. Drizzle the oil mixture over the crackers, fold the top of the bag down and shake the crackers until they are coated. I have fond memories of shaking the oyster crackers for my mom like this when I was a little girl. It also saves you dishes and ensures that all the crackers get coated evenly.

However you coat the crackers, this is a quick and easy snack recipe to make. I hope your family enjoys these ranch oyster crackers as much as we do!
