My Story…
I’m a wife and a stay-at-home Mom to four little ones, who seeks to live a grace-filled frugal life.
I’m a trained early childhood teacher, a LCMS church worker wife, an avid reader, a baker and a bargain seeker. Most importantly, I’m a baptized child of God.
Why is all this important? This is who I am and why I write to share with you.
I met my husband while attending college at Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska – although we didn’t get married until 9 years later. I am thankful every day for the blessing Andy is in my life. We were married in July of 2009.
After years of waiting and praying for a baby, our son was born in March 2014. Our daughter was another blessing born in March 2016, followed by another daughter in March 2018 and another son in 2020. (No, we didn’t plan it this way but we smile at how God’s plans unfolded in our family!) My husband is a Lutheran school teacher, as I was before I began staying at home with our children.
Being a Mom is not easy but I am so thankful for the opportunity to stay at home with my children. It really is true that the days are long but the years are short. As busy as our days are right now, I am striving to cherish these moments of raising little ones.
Our family lives on a tight budget but we are never lacking. We continue to see how God will always provide for His children. Now that I’m a SAHM, I consider it my job to stretch our pennies and help our family joyfully thrive!
