Free Printable Christmas Gift Tags for Teachers
Looking for a simple way to finish your teacher Christmas gifts? These free printable Christmas gift tags for teachers are an easy addition to a bag of cookies, a favorite snack or a little Christmas treat.
As a former teacher myself, I always appreciated being remembered at Christmas. A thoughtful note from a family meant a lot, whether it came with a gift or all on its own.
Now, as a mom of four, I also know how quickly the Christmas gift list grows! Once you start counting classroom teachers, aides, specials teachers and the other people who help your children throughout the week, there are a lot of people to thank.
I love finding small ways to remember those people without spending a fortune. A homemade treat and a little note of appreciation are still some of my favorite options.
That’s where these printable Christmas tags come in. Choose a design, print it out and attach it to the homemade or store bought gift of your choice. Simple!

Printable Christmas Tags to Say Thank You
I created these Christmas appreciation gift tags to make giving a little thank-you gift easier during a busy season.
You don’t need a complicated craft or an elaborate gift basket. You can use a small bag of homemade candy, a package of cookies or something you already know the teacher enjoys.
The tags include several different messages:
- Hope your holidays are sweet!
- Thank you for all you do! Merry Christmas!
- A Christmas treat for someone so sweet! Thank you for all you do!
- Thank you snow much for all you do!
- Merry Christmas!
- We are so thankful for you!
There is also a Christmas version of the cookie tag that says, “Hope your Christmas is sweet! Merry Christmas!”
Some of the designs are specifically for Christmas, while others work throughout the holiday or winter season. Pick the wording that fits the person and the gift you are giving.
Although I’m sharing these as Christmas gift tags for teachers, none of the messages are limited to teachers. You can use them for school staff, coworkers, neighbors, friends or anyone else you want to remember.
What Is Included in the Free Christmas Gift Tag Download?
These printable holiday thank-you tags come in a non-editable PDF file, ready for you to print and use.
The tags are arranged four to a page, for easy printing. Print the pages you want and save the others for another gift.
You’ll find a variety of Christmas and winter designs, including cookies, Christmas trees, ornaments and a snowman. There is also a simple Merry Christmas design that works with almost any gift.
Because the wording is already included, you don’t have to come up with a clever saying yourself. Just add your name or have your child sign the tag before attaching it.
Easy Teacher Christmas Gifts to Pair with the Tags
One of my favorite things about these tags is that you can use them with lots of different gifts. You don’t have to buy one particular candy or track down a special item to make the wording work.
Here are a few simple ideas.
A bag of homemade Christmas candy. This is one of my favorite Christmas gifts to make! Package a few buckeyes or pieces of pretzel toffee bark in a treat bag and add one of the sweet Christmas tags. If you need more ideas, here are my favorite easy no-bake Christmas candy recipes.
A few Christmas cookies. You don’t have to give an entire platter. A small tin of cookies is a thoughtful treat, too! The cookie designs are an especially fun fit for this one.
A favorite store-bought treat. No time to bake? Buy a favorite candy bar, a package of cookies or some individually wrapped chocolates. Divide a larger bag among several gifts to stretch your budget.
A favorite drink and snack. If you know what the teacher likes, pair a favorite drink with a little snack. Add the “Thank you for all you do” tag, and you have a gift they can enjoy during a busy school day.
A small gift card. A $5 gift card is absolutely a thoughtful gift! Attach it to one of the tags and let your child add a personal note.

How to Print and Use Your Christmas Teacher Gift Tags
You only need a few supplies to get these ready: paper or cardstock, scissors and something to attach the tag.
- Download the Christmas gift tags PDF below.
- Open the file and choose the pages you want to print.
- Print on regular paper or cardstock.
- Cut apart the tags.
- Add your name or a short note.
- Tape the tag to your gift, or punch a hole and tie it on with ribbon.
Cardstock makes the tags sturdier if you plan to tie them onto a bag. Regular paper works well if you are taping them to a box or package.
Let your children help, too! They can sign their names or write a sentence about something they love about their teacher. That little personal touch may end up being the best part of the gift.
Christmas Appreciation Tags for More Than Teachers
While you’re putting together teacher gifts, you might think of a few other people you want to thank.
These tags also work for:
- School secretaries, aides and principals
- Sunday school teachers
- Childcare providers and babysitters
- Coworkers
- Neighbors
- Church volunteers
- Friends who have helped your family
The download also includes full-page versions you can display with a plate of treats in the teachers’ lounge or office break room. It’s a simple way to thank a group when individual gifts aren’t in your budget.
Remember, you don’t have to give something to everyone. Choose what works for your family, your time and your budget.
